న్యూఢిల్లీ: దేశవ్యాప్తంగా కోట్లాది గ్రామీణ కార్మికులకు కీలకమైన పరిణామం చోటుచేసుకుంది. జీ రామ్ జీ (GRMG) బిల్లుకు రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపది ముర్ము ఆమోదం లభించడంతో ఈ బిల్లు అధికారికంగా చట్టంగా మారింది. ప్రస్తుతం అమల్లో ఉన్న MNREGA (మహాత్మా గాంధీ జాతీయ గ్రామీణ ఉపాధి హామీ చట్టాన్ని భర్తీ చేస్తూ ఈ కొత్త జీరామ్జీ చట్టం అమలులోకి రానుంది.
ఈ చట్టం ప్రకారం గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఉపాధి హామీని ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న 100 రోజుల నుంచి 125 రోజులకు పెంచడం అత్యంత కీలక నిర్ణయంగా భావిస్తున్నారు.

ఇప్పటివరకు MNREGA కింద గ్రామీణ కుటుంబాలకు ఏడాదికి 100 రోజుల ఉపాధి హామీ మాత్రమే ఉండేది. జీ రామ్ జీ చట్టం ద్వారా దీన్ని 125 రోజులకు పెంచడం గ్రామీణ కార్మికులకు పెద్ద ఊరటనిస్తుంది.

GRMG Bill Gets President Murmu’s Assent | Employment Guarantee Extended to 125 Days
New Delhi: In a major development impacting millions of rural workers across India, President Droupadi Murmu has given her assent to the GRMG Bill, turning it into law. The new GRMG Act will replace the existing MNREGA Act, bringing significant changes to the national employment guarantee scheme.
