కృష్ణా జిల్లా జగ్గయ్యపేట ఇండస్ట్రియల్ ఏరియాలో కాలుష్య సమస్యలు రోజురోజుకూ తీవ్రమవుతున్నాయి.
ఇక్కడి కెమికల్ పరిశ్రమలు రాత్రి వేళల్లో గుట్టుచప్పుడు కాకుండా విషవాయువులను గాలిలోకి విడుదల చేస్తున్నాయనే ఆరోపణలు స్థానిక ప్రజలు వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
ఈ ఘాటైన వాసన వల్ల రాత్రిళ్లు బయటకు రావడం మాత్రమే కాదు, ఇళ్లలోనూ ఊపిరి పీల్చుకోవడం కష్టసాధ్యమవుతోంది.
ఈ కాలుష్యం కారణంగా పిల్లలు, వృద్ధులు శ్వాసకోశ సమస్యలు, దగ్గు, కళ్ల మంట, చర్మ వ్యాధులు వంటి సమస్యలతో బాధపడుతున్నారు.
ఎన్నిసార్లు ఫిర్యాదు చేసినా, స్థానిక అధికారుల నిర్లక్ష్యం కారణంగా పరిస్థితి మరింత దారుణంగా మారుతోందని ప్రజలు అంటున్నారు.
ప్రజల డిమాండ్లు ఏమిటి?
- కెమికల్ ఫ్యాక్టరీలపై 24/7 నిఘా పెట్టాలి.
- రాత్రివేళల్లో పొగ/గ్యాస్ విడుదల చేసే కంపెనీలను వెంటనే సీజ్ చేయాలి.
- Air Quality వివరాలను ప్రజలకు రోజువారీగా ప్రకటించాలి.
- కాలుష్య నియంత్రణ బోర్డు (PCB) తక్షణ పరిశీలన చేయాలి.
ప్రజలు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు: "ఇకనైనా అధికారులు నిద్రలేచి చర్యలు తీసుకోకపోతే, మా ఆరోగ్యం పూర్తిగా దెబ్బతింటుంది. మేము నిశ్శబ్దంగా ఉండం."

The residents of Jaggaiahpet Industrial Area in Krishna District are facing severe pollution issues as several chemical factories are allegedly releasing toxic gases late at night.
The pungent chemical smell has become unbearable, making it difficult for people to breathe even inside their homes.
Children and elderly people are suffering from respiratory problems, eye irritation, chronic cough, and skin-related issues.
Despite multiple complaints, the authorities have not taken any effective action, leading to growing frustration among the locals.
Demands of the Local Residents
- Immediate surveillance and monitoring of all chemical factories.
- Shut down industries that release smoke/gases during nighttime.
- Public announcement of daily Air Quality (AQI) reports.
- Urgent intervention by the Pollution Control Board (PCB).
The residents strongly warn: “If the officials continue to ignore our problems, our health will be destroyed. We demand immediate action.”
